At a time when the economic situation is in such crisis the last thing expected at these difficult times  is to see the council increasing business rates and rents.

Despite the petition for zero council tax increase now the council not only ignored calls for zero incresae of rents and rates we see them increasing the rates without any consultaion whatsoever.

The council has also ignored calls for a dialogue with ward councillors and businesses.

Our opinion is that  this  kind of attitude, employed by the ruling side of Enfield Council is not good enough and  it is  about time the council  starts working in partnership with the community if we are going to see a more united  and prosperous community.
